Best new Dacias coming soon

Good news, Dacia is expanding its wallet-friendly range even more, with cars big and small arriving soon

It’s hard to believe that Dacia only arrived in the UK back in 2013, when it offered the Sandero for just £5,995 and we were first introduced to the Duster. Since then, the brand has sold more than 250,000 cars in Britain alone, establishing a reputation for making affordable, great-value cars, and it now has a line-up of six different models. But excitingly, there’s still more to come.

Dacia C-Neo

Dacia’s plans to conquer the highly important C-segment of the car market continue, as the brand hopes to build on the success of its Bigster mid-size SUV with a brand-new family estate car that’ll be looking to pick a fight with the Skoda Octavia and Volkswagen Golf.

We’ve known about this car for about two years now, yet we still don’t know what it will be called, only its codename: C-Neo. However, prototypes have been spotted testing and our exclusive image shows what the rugged and robust wagon could look like.

The long rear overhang should provide plenty of boot space – potentially around 600 litres – and given that this is a Dacia, the C-Neo will offer excellent value for money. It’ll be based on the same CMF-B platform as the Bigster, so will feature the brand’s latest, most efficient hybrid tech.

Dacia Sandero

The next iteration of the budget-focused Dacia Sandero – the car the brand built its name on – is on track to arrive in 2027 and will be the first to be offered as an EV. Don’t worry if you’re still not ready to go electric, because we’ve been told the new Sandero will also be offered with combustion power, too, most likely hybridised petrol engines. We expect to learn more about the new Sandero over the course of the year, so keep an eye on our website for more details as they’re revealed.

Even though the Dacia Spring has only recently arrived in the UK, it’s been available in Europe for a while and work is already under way on a new, affordable A-segment EV that will serve as its replacement.

The as-yet-unnamed baby EV will be based on the reborn Renault Twingo – another cut-price electric city car coming soon – and will cost less than 18,000 Euros (under £16,000 at the current exchange rate). The Spring’s successor will also be developed in just 16 months, meaning it’ll be ready for its world debut by the summer. Importantly, Dacia’s new entry-level EV will be built in Europe, so it can avoid the tariffs being imposed on electric cars produced in China.
