Road test yearbook

As the year draws to a close, it's time for our road test team to look back over the past 12 months and pick their highlights.

We've also run a number of special road tests throughout the year. These have included round-ups of the safest cars you can buy and the cars that have the lowest depreciation, plus we gave you advice on how to maximise your fuel economy.

Here we run down our 50 top tests of the year, and we've also included some interesting statistics and notes from our testers, as they recap another busy year for new cars.
