Smart ForFour Edition 1 announced
Smart launches Edition 1 version of the new second-generation ForFour
Despite the new Smart ForFour only being unveiled last week, Smart has already got to work on a special edition version of the car, called the ForFour Edition 1. Available only in a unique grey and orange paintjob, the Edition 1 also comes with lowered suspension and a special alloy wheel design.
Compared to standard versions of the the new ForFour, there are a wealth of visual changes and additions to the Edition 1 to give it some added appeal. Smart has fitted a panoramic roof with sunblind, 16-inch light alloy wheels, sports suspension lowered by 10mm, black radiator grille and a chrome tipped exhausts.
Inside, the seats have been finished in a black and orange fabric, with the instrument panel and door cards also trimmed in the same material. A new leather multifunction sports steering wheel has been added, as too have velour floor mats and a 3.5-inch TFT driver display screen.
The standard ForFour is offered with a choice of two three-cylinder petrol engines – a 70bhp 1.0-litre motor and a more powerful 89bhp 900cc turbo engine. Both are expected to be offered in the Edition 1 but prices are yet to be finalised.
