Skoda launches flagship L&K trim for Octavia

Skoda is now offering the Octavia hatchback and estate with a new Laurin & Klement trim, priced from £26,410

Skoda has launched the new flagship Laurin & Klement trim for the Octavia, with prices starting from £26,410.

Revealed at the Geneva Motor Show in March and available with either the hatchback or estate, the Octavia L&K builds on the Elegance spec level, and will be offered at launch with a choice of two engines.

This includes the Czech manufacturer’s 148bhp 2.0-litre TDI diesel, which is joined by a new 1.8-litre turbocharged petrol engine that generates 178bhp.

Additional standard equipment on top of the Elegance trim includes 18-inch Turbine alloys, adaptive bi-xenon headlights, LED rear lights, chrome window surrounds and cornering front fog lights, while the estate also gets tinted windows.

Skoda has upgraded the interior, too, adding brown Alcantara and leather upholstery, L&K detailing and logos, illuminated footwells and an electrically adjustable driver’s seat featuring memory function and lumbar support.

Changes aren’t purely visual either, thanks to the inclusion of a Canton audio system and driver aids such as lane and park assist, and adaptive cruise control with Front Assistant technology.

This extra L&K kit will set you back a further £4,100 compared to the equivalent Elegance trim, so the entry-level 2.0-litre TDI hatchback will set you back £26,410, while the most basic TSI starts at £26,570.

Customers also have the choice between a six-speed manual and DSG automatic, and a range-topping four-wheel drive version of the estate is also available, which comes with manual transmission and diesel engine for £28,665.
