New Vauxhall Mokka Black special edition launched

Vauxhall has added a new trim level to the Mokka range with exterior and interior tweaks

Vauxhall Mokka Black special edition

Vauxhall has added a new special edition member to the popular Mokka SUV line-up. Called the Vauxhall Mokka Black, this new version is available to order online, with first deliveries starting from this summer.

We’re big fans of the current Mokka, which marked a significant improvement over the older model with a much improved interior, sharper styling and the addition of an all-electric Mokka Electric model thanks to its use of the e-CMP platform from Stellantis.

However, the new Mokka Black isn’t available with the Mokka Electric powertrain, and instead is limited to two petrol units - a 1.2-litre 134bhp four-cylinder engine with a manual transmission (which is new to the entire Mokka range) or a 1.2-litre 128bhp four-cylinder mate to an eight-speed automatic.

Exterior tweaks come in the form of an exclusive new Vulcan Grey exterior paint and 18-inch alloys finished in gloss black. There’s also a black roof, tinted rear windows black detailing and badging.

Based on the mid-spec GS trim, there’s black headliner inside with Vauxhall latest version of its ‘Pure Panel’ dash with a 12-inch digital driver’s display and a 10-inch central touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility. There’s also a panoramic rear-view camera with rear parking sensors and heated front seats and steering wheel.

Safety systems are all carried over from the GS with Vauxhall’s ‘Park and Go’ pack that includes park assist, a 180-degree panoramic camera and blind spot alert.

The slightly more powerful manual version starts from £27,525 and the automatic is £29,170, which represents a price increase over the GS of £460 and £465 respectively.
