Supercar shoot-out

It was the first all-new car from Lotus in more than a decade – so getting behind the wheel of the Evora, and putting it through its paces, was a very special moment. Bosses decided to launch the car amid the beautiful scenery of the Scottish Highlands, and senior road tester Owen Mildenhall left the rest of the team green with envy when he got the nod to head north. He took the class-leading Porsche Cayman S to really test the Lotus’s mettle, and returned home impressed and disappointed. The newcomer was good – but not good enough to see off the best pound-for-pound sports car in the world.
