The Volvo V40 R-Design and Cross Country prices have been announced, starting at £22,295 and £22,595 respectively. Both cars are available to order now, with first deliveries taking place early in the new year.

Also included is a special blue colour for the TFT display screen, an illuminated gear-knob and vertical LED daytime running lights.

Buyers can add extra luxury features by opting for the V40 R-Design Lux model, which adds xenon headlights, leather-faced R-Design embossed seats, cruise control, keyless start and rear theatre lighting.

The V40 R-Design is available in the Rebel Blue paint seen in the pictures that’s unique to the R-Design model, along with six other colours.

Prices start from £22,295 for the D2 R-Design, up to the T5 Geartronic R-Design Lux Nav, available from £31,390.

The V40 Cross Country, which debuted at the Paris Motor Show, gives the five-door hatchback a more rugged look. The range starts with the V40 Cross Country SE, which gets 16-inch alloy wheels, rain sensing wipers, textile/T-Tec upholstery, tread plates and silver roof rails.

Like the R-Design, to top spec model is the Cross Country Lux, which includes leather-faced upholstery, xenon headlights, 17-inch alloy wheels, LED daytime running lights, and rear reading and theatre lighting.

The V40 Cross Country is available from £22,595 for the D2 Cross Country SE, up to the four-wheel drive T5 Geartronic Cross Country Lux Nav, from £33,875.
