A recent drive of the new Volkswagen ID.3 Neo showed the German firm was back to building great cars again.
With the troublesome software that plagued the original ID.3 now gone, plus a welcome slab of better quality fixtures and fittings, the ID.3 Neo looks set to be a strong seller. And if today’s deal is anything to go by, excellent value for money is high on the agenda, too.
Via the Auto Express Buy A Car service, Carwow Leasey is offering the reborn ID.3 Neo for a mere £265.77 a month after a 12-month initial payment of £3,484.24, with mileage capped at 5,000 a year.
Naturally, you can tweak the deal to suit your budget. A nine-month initial payment comes in at £2,815.09 at £280 a month, while revising the mileage limit to 8,000 will cost around £5 extra a month.
Also, as this is a deal from Carwow Leasey, you get some super-cheap charging. Top up at one of Gridserve’s network of national chargers, and you’ll save 20 per cent on every charge.
What we particularly like about this deal is that it’s for the big battery version. The 79kWh ID.3 Neo promises a range of 390 miles – that’s seriously impressive for a car of this size. A rear-mounted 231bhp electric motor, meanwhile, gives plenty of shove, with 0-62mph taking just 7.1 seconds.
This deal gets you the entry-level Life trim, but even this is packed with goodies. There’s a set of 18-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, 10-colour ambient lighting, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless phone charging and keyless go.
As soon as you step inside, you realise that this isn’t just a lightly refreshed ID.3. The Neo has a completely new dashboard, which is laced with quality-feeling materials. Physical buttons have arrived, too, in an effort to silence previous criticisms of the old ID.3.
