VW Scirocco GTS revealed, plus updates for CC and up! ranges

New Scirocco GTS, CC R-Line and Look up! models add extra choice for Volkswagen customers

Volkswagen has announced a handful of updates for its range in 2016, including a new VW Scirocco GTS special edition.

The £28,195 GTS, which gets a 2.0-litre petrol with 217bhp, sits below the top-spec R-Line model in the Scirocco range. It's available with a DSG automatic or manual gearbox, and goes from 0-62mph in 6.5 seconds and on to a top speed of 153mph.

The sporty body kit from the R-Line model is carried over onto the GTS, as well as GTS badges and stripes, black door mirrors and tinted windows. Colour options include Urano Grey (as standard), Flash Red, Pure White, Oryx White, Indium Grey and Deep Black.

Inside there are some GTS badges, as well as leather seats, a GTS gearstick, stripy seatbelts and chromed sill protectors.

Volkswagen has also added the Look up! model to its city car range, which features 15-inch alloy wheels, updated interior trim and black door mirrors and decals. You can order it in Saturn Yellow, Tornado Red or Pure White from £9,995.

There are also two new trim levels for the brand's four-door coupe. The CC GT Black Edition and CC R-Line Black Edition cost from £29,150, and add some extra kit as well as cosmetic upgrades.

Black edition cars get a black front grille, an electric sunroof and 18-inch alloy wheels. There's also Carbon Nappa leather upholstery inside, with carbon fibre-style details on the inside of the doors. Both Black Editions cost £575 more than their GT and R-Line equivalents.
