2025 Vauxhall Mokka to receive minor updates inside and out

Popular small SUV will be tweaked to align with Vauxhall’s fresher offerings

Vauxhall is in the midst of a range revamp with the Corsa getting facelifted recently, the new Grandland launching and the return of the Frontera - these latest images show an updated Vauxhall Mokka will soon join the line up as well.

The current, second-generation Mokka has been hugely successful for Vauxhall since it launched in 2020, regularly featuring in the list of Britain’s best-selling cars. The Mokka was the second all-new Vauxhall to launch under Stellantis ownership and the first to showcase the firm’s distinctive ‘Vizor’ design language.

As it introduced Vauxhall’s current design, the new Mokka won’t look too different from before. Our latest spy pictures highlight a restyled front grille and bumper arrangement along with new detailing within the lower air intake. The side intakes will be altered and while the ‘Vizor’ shape will remain, the LED headlight signature will be changed.

Just like the updated Corsa that arrived last year, there are no changes to the bodywork at the side and to the rear. What we could see with the new Mokka, as with its supermini sibling, is a change to the trim level detailing with black badging and larger alloy wheels as standard.

This is our first look inside the updated Mokka and there are a few small differences here too. There’s a new steering wheel taken from the Astra, but the rotary controls for the air-conditioning and the centre console layout look the same as before. Entry-level Mokkas should come with two seven-inch displays (which should get updated graphics) and higher-spec Mokka are likely to get a 10-inch touchscreen and 12-inch digital driver’s display. Like the Corsa, the 10-inch display should use the latest Snapdragon Cockpit Platform from Qualcomm.

We’ve previously seen the petrol Mokka testing, but the one spotted here wears a ‘Hybrid’ badge on the bootlid. The new Mokka Hybrid only arrived earlier this summer with a 134bhp 1.2-litre petrol engine mated to an electric motor within the six-speed DCT gearbox that produces 27bhp. The Mokka Electric will be retained as the crossover’s pure-electric rival to the Peugeot E-2008 and Jeep Avenger EV. In 2023, the Mokka Electric’s range improved thanks to a new 54kWh battery that is able to provide a 252-mile range. We aren’t likely to see any mechanical changes to the Mokka Electric’s powertrain, but a revised front end could eke-out a few more miles yet.

Kicking off at £21,555 currently in petrol form and £29,495 in ‘Electric’ form, the Mokka will probably receive a small price increase with the 2024 update, too.
