Suzuki SX4 S-Cross gets range changes

Suzuki is making some changes to its Skoda Yeti rival, the SX4 S-Cross. A price shuffle sees an increase in the cost of the petrol models, while the price of some diesel versions is cut. There is also a new SZ-T trim level to replace the outgoing SZ4.

The good value SX4 S-Cross beat its rivals in our group test exactly 12 months ago, but competitors like the Nissan Qashqai have since caught up. Yet this hasn't stopped Suzuki increasing the price of its petrol range by £500 (although the SZ-T is only £250 more expensive than the old SZ4). The SZ-T diesels, however, are £250 cheaper.

Whether you go for petrol or diesel power, the SZ-T builds on the already generous equipment list of the SZ3 model. It features sat-nav with a DAB digital radio, 17-inch alloy wheels, roof rails, dual-zone climate control, Bluetooth, privacy glass, a rear parking camera and rear parking proximity sensors.

Unlike SZ4 spec, SZ-T trim will be available on CVT and four-wheel-drive 'ALLGRIP' petrol models, as well as the diesels. This gives SX4 S-Cross buyers more choice with the more expensive powertrain options.
