Skoda launches limited-run Black Edition range

New Black Edition models available across the Skoda line-up, featuring interior and exterior styling updates and additional standard kit

Skoda Yeti Black Edition

Skoda has revealed a new, limited-run Black Edition trim level for its entire model line-up, offering customers additional standard kit and a range of interior and exterior styling updates with an unsurprisingly dark theme.

Prices start from £10,090 for the Citigo Black Edition, rising to upwards of £23,990 for the top-of-the-range special edition Yeti, with each variant available in Black Magic Pearlescent paint.

In Black Edition spec, the three- or five-door Citigo uses the 59bhp 1.0-litre petrol engine found in the standard hatchback, but gains 15-inch ‘Auriga’ black alloys, front fog lights and sunset glass, plus a Portable Infotainment Device and Entertainment package.

Despite the name, the Fabia Black Edition (from £15,490) can be finished in Candy White, and both the hatchback and estate get the 104bhp 1.2-litre TSI engine, plus heated front seats, Bluetooth, sat nav and DAB digital radio.

Skoda is offering the limited edition Roomster for the same starting price, with the engine, sat nav and DAB carried over, although the additional bodywork option makes way. There are also 17-inch ‘Comet’ black alloys, black front fog lights, as well as sports seats and a three-spoke leather steering wheel for the interior.

Both the Rapid (£16,880) and Rapid Spaceback (£18,250) variants share the 1.2 TSI, too, alongside their own bespoke 17-inch black alloys, sports seats, sat nav, digital radio. There’s front fog lights for the hatchback alone, whilst the Spaceback instead gets sunset glass and added choice of Moon White Metallic exterior paint.

For the Octavia Hatch and Estate (from £21,685), there’s a choice of 1.6- and 2.0-litre TDI diesels, and as part of the Black Edition changes Skoda has included 18-inch ‘Turini’ black alloys, cruise control, and the same infotainment equipment featured from the Fabia upwards. Moon White Metallic again joins Black Magic Pearlescent as a possible finish.

17-inch ‘Twister’ black rims, heated front seats, full leather upholstery, satellite navigation and DAB are the chosen updates for the Superb (from £23,630), both body styles benefiting from identical extra kit and white or black paint schemes.

Finishing the Black Edition range off is the 138bhp 2.0-litre TDI 4x4 Yeti (from £23,990), on sale in Black Magic Pearlescent and Moon White Metallic with a choice of six-speed manual or DSG automatic gearbox. It comes with 17-inch ‘Matterhorn’ alloys, front and rear spoilers, and of course sat nav and DAB radio.
