Peugeot introduces 208 Allure Premium Special Edition

New 208 Allure Premium boasts a panoramic sunroof and 16-inch alloy wheels as standard

Peugeot has added a new special edition 208 to its supermini line-up for the summer with the 208 Allure Premium Special Edition, which is on sale now.

It’s similar to the Allure Premium car added to the line-up roughly this time last year, introducing additional equipment and tweaked specifications compared to the regular, five-door 208 Allure.

As standard, unique 16-inch alloy wheels with matt black detailing are fitted, alongside tinted rear windows and a palette of ten paint colour options. A bright new ‘Orange Power’ tint is available too.

Equipment highlights include a standard panoramic glass sunroof, interior ambient lighting, heated powerfolding mirrors, plus rear parking sensors and a rear facing reversing camera. A touchscreen infotainment system is fitted and is bundled with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, but satellite navigation remains on the options list.

Under the bonnet, the 208 Allure Premium Special Edition makes use of a 1.2-litre three-cylinder petrol engine producing 81bhp. 0-62mph takes 12.2 seconds, and Peugeot claims its capable of returning 62.2mpg.

Prices for the Allure Premium Special Edition kick off at £16,565, making it the most expensive 208 before you step up to GT Line and GTI cars. Like all 208s though, it’s available with a £2,000 finance deposit contribution, while the car’s introduction is intended to highlight Peugeot’s Summer Drive savings initiative, offering further savings.
