Mitsubishi Mirage Juro gets mild makeover from outgoing model, with prices starting from £11,499
The Mitsubishi Mirage has a new look and a new name for 2016. Now called the Mirage Juro, prices for the updated supermini start from £11,499, a slight increase over the outgoing model.

Changes start on the outside with a mild makeover. The Mirage Juro gets a new set of headlights, chrome detailing on the front bumper and a reprofiled rear bumper. The cabin is largely carried over but Mitsubishi has fitted a new multifunction steering wheel, a leather gearknob and added more sound deadening to help improve refinement.
Mitsubishi has thrown in some added kit: heated seats, cruise control, electric mirrors and DAB radio. Changes under the skin include a tweaked and stiffer suspension setup to help improve handling.
There are no engine updates, so the only engine available remains the 1.2-litre three-cylinder petrol which develops 79bhp. It can be paired with the option of a manual or CVT automatic gearboxes.
“Mirage is not a huge part of our business – this year we will sell 31,000 cars and 1,500 of those will be Mirages,” Lance Bradley, Mitsubishi UK MD told Auto Express at the Geneva Motor Show. “But there are some extremely loyal customers who love their small Mitsubishis, and while we have a chance to sell to them we will. The next generation Mirage will be available as fully electric so it’s worth keeping a presence in the marketplace.”
