Mitsubishi ASX range updated with new 1.6 diesel
Mitsubishi's mid-sized crossover gets new diesel engine and styling tweaks
Mitsubishi has announced a range of updates for the ASX crossover, which includes the arrival of a new 1.6-litre diesel engine. Available with two or four-wheel drive, the new power option is available at prices starting from £19,499.
The 1.6-litre four-cylinder diesel develops 112bhp and emits 119g/km of CO2 meaning buyers pay no vehicle road tax in the first year of ownership. Other engine options on the ASX include a 115bhp 1.5-litre petrol as well as the 2.2-litre diesel also found in the Outlander.
Along with the new engine the ASX range has also undergone a name change, with entry-level models rebadged ZC, mid-spec models called ZC-M and range-topping variants now called ZC-H. Changes to the higher specification models also include new wheel arch moldings, while all models now benefit from updated alloy wheel designs and new three-spoke steering wheel.
As standard all models comes fitted with air conditioning, active stability and traction control, remote keyless entry and seven airbags. The ASX is available to order with the new diesel engine now.
