Mitsubishi Shogun SWB Barbarian revealed

Mitsubishi add new Shogun SWB Barbarian to the range, priced from £31,999

Mitsubishi has extended the Shogun range with the addition of the new SWB (short wheel base) Barbarian. Fitted with four-wheel drive as standard prices start from £31,999.

The SWB model retains the bold front end and rugged exterior styling. Short front and rear overhangs along with the elevated ride height and four-wheel drive ensure it’s well suited for off-roading.

It sits above the Shogun Warrior in the Mitsubishi range and fitted with added kit such as 20-inch gloss black alloy wheels, leather interior with carbon inserts, DAB radio, colour coded spare wheel cover and alloy pedals.

The only engine on offer is the 197bhp 3.2-litre diesel, which can be paired with a five-speed manual (£31,999) or a five-speed automatic gearbox (£33,684). The SWB Barbarian also comes with Mitsubishi’s three year/unlimited mileage warranty.

Mitsubishi is also enjoying relative success at the moment, sales are up 78 per cent on the Shogun LWB variants and an impressive 150 per cent for the Shogun SWB variants year-on-year.
