Lynk & Co is the new global car brand by Chinese auto manufacturing giant Geely and the firm is keen to make a mark on the European SUV market sector when the 01 arrives next year.

As such, in a bid to stand out against conventional premium rivals, Lynk & Co is promising new levels of ‘connectivity’ features as standard - all of the firm’s cars will come with free traffic data connectivity built into their infotainment suites. Drivers and passengers will be able to access live traffic data globally, forming one of the features of what the firm calls its ‘global connectivity promise’.

Lynk & Co will be an all-new marque when the 01 SUV goes on sale, and though the brand will share many components with Geely sister brand Volvo, the company has no real reputation or rapport with UK car buyers.

However, those who do take the plunge will also be offered a lifetime warranty with roadside assistance, more details of which will be announced when the car hits showrooms in China at the end of this year.
