Lotus creates one-off Evora Sport 410 in homage to Bond's Esprit S1

One-off Lotus Evora gets plenty of retro design tweaks and showcases Lotus Exclusive personalisation options

Lotus has revealed a new one-off Evora in tribute to the iconic Esprit S1 featured in the James Bond classic The Spy Who Loved Me, 40 years on from when Bond’s famous white Esprit graced the silver screen.

Based on the Evora Sport 410, the car has no mechanical changes – it still uses a 3.5-litre supercharged V6 engine with 410bhp, for 0-62mph in 4 seconds and a top speed of 190mph. Instead, it gets a raft of retro design tweaks harking back to the Esprit S1 featured in the film.

Created by the company’s in-house personalisation department – Lotus Exclusive – the Evora gets a white paint finish with special black colour coding on the bumpers to resemble the finish of Bond’s Esprit. A white finish is applied to the carbon-fibre tailgate in addition to a black coach line running down the car’s sides. On the car’s B-pillar is a bespoke Evora badge, using the same style and retro typeface used on the Esprit S1.

The classic tweaks continue in the cabin. Eye-catching tartan insert panels and trim are found on the sports seats, as well as on the door cards. Red contrast stitching is applied to a black Alcantara dashboard and centre console too, alongside a gear knob with a faux wood finish.

While the car remains a one-off, Lotus says it’s an example of what customers can expect if they opt to use the Lotus Exclusive service when speccing a new car from the Norfolk based company. No price is given for exclusive options seen on this Evora Sport 410, but the standard car is priced from £82,000 and limited to 150 units per year.
