New Jaguar F-Type ZP Edition is the British firm’s last ICE sports car

The Jaguar F-Type bows out with limited-run, V8-powered ZP Edition

Jaguar’s proposed switch to become an all-electric luxury brand by 2025 will see the F-Type end production next year, but not before the British firm gives its last internal combustion engined (ICE) sports car a proper send off with this – the Jaguar F-Type ZP Edition. 

Only 150 F-Type ZP Editions will be made and just 10 of those available to UK customers in both coupe and convertible form. Jaguar claims the ZP Edition joins “an illustrious roster of heritage-inspired collector’s editions including the 2015 Project 7 and 2020 Heritage 60 Edition.”

Like those two cars, the ZP Edition is immediately distinguishable from the standard F-Type. Two paint finishes are offered – Oulton Blue and Crystal Grey. The former comes with a red and ebony two-tone leather interior and the Crystal Grey comes with navy blue and ebony leather. Like the ‘Project ZP’ E-Types that were unveiled this year, the F-Type ZP features roundels on the doors and white grille surrounds.

Exterior accents are finished in gloss black, as are the brake calipers and 20-inch forged alloy wheels. Special ‘ZP Edition’ branding features behind the front wheels and each car comes with a ‘one of 150’ plaque. 

Given the ZP Edition will be the last of the line for the F-Type, it seems only fitting that Jaguar has bestowed its 567bhp supercharged 5.0-litre V8. As with the F-Type R on which it’s based, the ZP Edition will do 0-60mph in 3.5 seconds and go on to an electronically-limited top speed of 186mph.  

The F-Type's swan-song is priced from £134,925 for the coupe, while the convertible starts from £138,390.
