New Jaguar XE and XF 300 Sport models introduced

Luxuriously appointed Jaguar XE and XF saloons come with four-cylinder mild-hybrid petrol power

Following the launch of new ‘Sport’ versions of the Jaguar F-Pace SUV, the brand has given similar treatment to its BMW 3 Series rivalling XE compact executive saloon, and its larger, Mercedes E-Class fighting XF luxury model.

Prices for the new cars start at £42,345 for the XE 300 Sport. The larger XF is available from £47,730, and is also available as a Sportbrake estate

Both Sport models make use of a turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine, all-wheel drive, exclusive exterior design touches and changes in the cabin, too.

The XE and XF Sport feature a 2.0-litre four-cylinder Ingenium petrol unit with 48-volt mild hybrid support, developing 296bhp and 400Nm of torque. Combined with the standard all-wheel drive, the XE 300 Sport is capable of 0-62mph in 5.9 seconds, while the XF takes 6.1 seconds, rising to 6.2 seconds for the Sportbrake estate. Top speed for all models is 155mph.

Both models feature wheels 20-inches in size. A dark satin wheel is applied on the XE, while the five-spoke design on the XF is available in gloss silver with gloss black inserts, or black with gloss black inserts. Both cars are available in their models’ respective paint colours.

Black exterior detailing is included with Jaguar’s ‘Black Pack’ as standard, while a Gloss Black contrast roof is also part of the Sport specification.

Inside, the XE Sport features Monogram Aluminium trim, while the XF Sport cabin is fitted with Satin Charcoal Ash veneer accents. Pivi Pro touchscreen infotainment with Amazon Alexa integration is included, too.
