Honda has cut the number of different equipment levels for the CR-V this time around, from five to four, so the line-up is now made up of S, SE, SR and EX.

Entry-level cars feature a five-inch Intelligent Multi Info Display, climate control, cruise control and 17-inch alloy wheels, while the next level SE CR-Vs add auto lights and wipers, front and rear parking sensors a rear-view parking camera and front fog lights.

The new trim level is SR, which includes heated front seats, a DAB Radio, xenon lights and 18-inch alloys. Top-spec EX cars get a leather interior, power tailgate, electric driver’s seat, a panoramic glass roof and integrated sat nav.

The Honda CR-V is available with two or four-wheel drive. The two-wheel-drive car is currently only available with a petrol engine and a six-speed manual gearbox.

On four-wheel-drive petrol CR-Vs, the automatic option costs £1,500 extra, while the auto option on diesel CR-Vs costs £1,640.
