New entry-level Ford Fiesta Trend launched

The Ford Fiesta Trend will replace the old Fiesta Zetec as the new base spec model, with prices starting at £15,995

Ford has launched a new entry-level trim for its Fiesta supermini. Called “Trend,” it replaces the brand’s outgoing Zetec base-model, adding extra technology and safety equipment as standard. The Ford Fiesta Trend is on sale now, priced from £15,995.

Available in both three- and five-door body styles, the Fiesta Trend comes as standard with 16-inch alloy wheels, electrically adjustable door mirrors, LED daytime running lights, privacy glass and a mesh front grille. Buyers also have the choice of six metallic body colours.

Inside, buyers get a multifunction steering wheel, air conditioning, electric windows all-round, lane-keeping assist, automatic headlamps, a DAB radio and Ford’s latest eight-inch SYNC infotainment system, which offers support for both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Ford’s “MyKey” system is also included as standard. The software provides a restrictable driver profile which is linked to the Fiesta’s second key, providing the option to limit features such as the car’s top speed and maximum audio volume.

The Fiesta Trend is powered by Ford’s 1.1-litre three-cylinder petrol engine, producing 84bhp and 108Nm of torque. It’s mated to a five-speed manual gearbox and offers respective economy and emissions figures of 64.2mpg and 101g/km.
