Shimmering DS 3 Dark Light available now

Eye-catching DS 3 Dark Light will be given a limited production run, with just 300 models available

If the hundreds of personalisation options available on a DS 3 simply weren't enough for you, then worry no more. A super-exclusive version of the premium hatchback will be brought into limited production, featuring black bodywork clad in metallic vinyl and known as the DS 3 Dark Light.

Just 300 of these models will be brought to the UK, and if you love to stand out this is the DS 3 for you. The Perla Nera Black paintwork is available on the standard car but DS have specified it with a unique metallic vinyl wrap along each side. The design blends in perfectly with the paintwork and makes for a truly individual look.

The DS 3 Dark Light was first seen on the DS stand at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, and it was so well received there that DS decided to bring it into limited production.

Those worried about durability will be pleased to know that the vinyl wrap is scratch resistant and can even handle fuel spills and mechanical car washes. As well as the wrap the car receives special 'Dark Light' badging on the front wings and tailgate to go along with familiar DS extras like the diamond-cut alloy wheels and LED headlights.

Inside, the DS 3 Dark Light is based on the DStyle Nav trim level, so it gets a navigation system nestled in the stylish dash. Dark Light badges make another appearance on the dashboard, and extras include a front armrest, black leather seats, auto lights and wipers and premium floor mats.

The DS 3 Dark Light is powered by the mid-level PureTech 110 petrol engine with a 6-speed automatic gearbox. It is available to order now and is priced at £20,795 - a £2,300 premium over the standard car.

Would you spend the extra cash to be one of only 300 DS 3 Dark Light owners? Let us know in the comments below...
