New range-topping Dacia Duster Extreme SE launched

Dacia’s budget SUV gains interior and exterior revisions for Extreme SE variant

Dacia has brought back the Extreme SE trim level to the Duster range, sitting above the current Journey model as the highest-spec Duster you can buy. The Extreme SE is available to order now and Dacia says customers can expect first deliveries from early 2023.

Priced from £18,295, the Extreme SE costs £300 more than the Journey model on which it’s based. It benefits from some mild styling tweaks such as black 17-inch alloy wheels, orange accents on the door mirrors, roof bars and on the tailgate, and the Duster emblem also finished in orange

Inside, the Extreme SE offers a satin chrome finish to the air vents, while the door trim and seat upholstery also gain orange accents. Standard equipment includes keyless entry, heated front seats, an exterior camera for each side, rear parking sensors, automatic air conditioning and an eight-inch infotainment screen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

Just like Expression and Journey trim levels, there’s a range of petrol, diesel and Dacia’s “Bi-Fuel” engines. The petrol-powered TCe 90 4x2 is the cheapest Extreme SE version on offer, followed by the £18,795 TCe 100 Bi-Fuel 4x2.

Diesel models start from £20,145, with the £22,445 Blue dCi 115 4x4 coming in as the most expensive Duster you can buy. A six-speed manual transmission is standard across the range, apart from the TCe 150 model - which comes with Dacia’s EDC automatic gearbox.

With the engines unchanged, performance should be the same as the old model with the two-wheel drive 130 version going from 0-62mph in 10.6 seconds and topping out at 120mph. The most economical iteration is the least powerful 115 Blue dCi diesel, returning a combined 58.9mpg.
