Citroen C4 Picasso price revealed, ahead of September 2013 release date

Citroen has announced prices for the new C4 Picasso ahead of its launch in September later this year. Prices start from £17,500 for the entry-level 118bhp 1.6-litre petrol engine in VTR trim and rise to £24,455 for the 112bhp 1.6-litre turbocharged diesel engine in top of the range Exclusive+ trim.

From launch there will be six different engines available including a 98g/km 90bhp 1.6-litre turbocharged diesel. Priced at £20,155 the low emissions engine also has a claimed fuel economy of 74mpg but is only available in VTR+ trim. It comes as standard with automatic wipers and lights, automatic and dual zone air condition, rear-parking sensors, DAB radio and fold away aircraft style tables. Prices range from £18,760 to £20,755 for the C4 Picasso in VTR+ trim.

Moving up the range, the higher spec Exclusive models range from £21,060 to £22,055 and are available with the 154bhp 1.6-litre petrol engine capable of getting from 0-62mph in nine seconds while only emitting only 139g/km of CO2. Exclusive models come as standard with, 17in alloys, aluminum dashboard trim and air vent surrounds, leather steering wheel, keyless entry, Sat Nav with USB socket and 12in panoramic HD display. A 104bhp version of the 1.6-litre turbocharged diesel engine is also available in Exclusive trim, emitting only 105g/km of CO2.

Pay a £2,200-£2,400 premium, depending on the engine, and your C4 Picasso will come in Exclusive+ trim. That brings bigger 18-inch alloys, active radar guided cruise control, tinted windows, panoramic sunroof, drivers massage seat, velour carpet mats and park assist. First UK delivereis of the C4 Picasso are set to begin this September.
