Special edition Citroen C1 JCC+ adds new style to city car line-up

New limited edition C1 created through collaboration with French fashion designer, Jean-Charles de Castelbajac

Citroen has launched a new special edition C1 city car. It’s called the C1 JCC+ and it features a range of interior and exterior styling upgrades created in collaboration with French fashion designer Jean-Charles de Castelbajac.

Exterior styling revisions over the standard Citroen C1 include black, 15-inch alloy wheels, a contrasting black roof, privacy glass and a set of matte black wheel arch extensions. Buyers are also offered the choice of five body colours – Lipizzan White, Gallium Grey, Carlinite Grey, Caldera Black and Scarlet Red.

Citroen also says that each example will come with a range of unique Jean-Charles de Castelbajac-branded graphics for the C1’s C-pillar, tailgate and front doors, as well as a pair of red door mirror caps and a set of blue wheel centre caps.

Inside, there’s a new red dashboard, with white trim for the air-vent surrounds, as well as some fresh gloss black trim for the touchscreen fascia and gear lever. The JCC+ logo is also embroidered into the car’s front seats and floor mats.

The special edition C1 JCC+ is based on the C1’s Flair trim-level, so it comes as standard with electrically heated and adjusted door mirrors, a rear-view camera and a seven-inch infotainment system with support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. However, the special edition model also features automatic air conditioning and automatic LED headlamps.

Power comes from a 1.0-litre three cylinder engine developing 71bhp and sending drive to the front wheels through a five-speed manual gearbox. 0-62 takes 14 seconds, with top speed 99mph. Citroen claims 57.6mpg and CO2 emissions of 110g/km.

The new C1 JCC+ is on sale in the UK now, priced from £14,135, with first deliveries expected to arrive in July. Additionally, the JCC+ is only available as a five-door model.
