2010 V8 Vantage: First pics

Best-selling Aston has received a refresh for 2010, and we have exclusive images of the newcomer

The V8 Vantage is like a fine wine – it keeps getting better with age! Combined sales of the Roadster and Coupé have now topped 14,000 since the car was introduced in 2005 – making it the best-selling model Aston Martin has ever produced.

In a bid to keep its entry machine fresh, the firm has implemented a raft of subtle tweaks – and Auto Express has these world exclusive pictures of the newcomer.

The makeover includes a new design for the 19-inch wheels, extended side sills – borrowed from the pumped-up N400 special edition – and revised wing mirrors, which sit higher.

Also added to the car’s options list are clear lenses for the tail-lamps, as well as lightweight bucket seats, made from a blend of carbon fibre and Kevlar.

The rest of the package, which underwent a major revise in 2008, is left alone, though. That means the 420bhp 4.7-litre V8 is as glorious as ever – especially in the Roadster, with the fabric roof stowed. The hand-stitched interior is unaffected, too, but looks as opulent and superbly finished as it always has.

Despite the changes, thefirm has frozen prices for the 2010 V8 Vantage. As a result, the entry point to Aston Martin ownership begins at £88,995 for the manual Coupé, and rises to £96,995 for the Roadster. Both models can be specified with the Sportshift semi-automatic as a £3,000 optional extra.
