Mitsubishi Colt Ralliart

Turbocharged pocket rocket takes inspiration from the Evo X

Mitsubishi Colt Ralliart

Few makers know more about high performance, turbocharged cars than Mitsubishi. And if you take one look at the Colt Ralliart, you’ll know just where the inspiration has come from – the Evo X.

It might be a bit less powerful and be only front-wheel drive, but the pocket rocket Colt still packs a 147bhp 1.5-litre engine and costs just £12,049. It certainly looks the part too, with that scowling fighter jet-style grille, which is combined with sideskirts and dark grey 16-inch alloys.

It’s great fun on a B-road, with an agile chassis that makes the most of the considerable punch – 0-62mph in just 7.4 seconds – on tap. In fact the only downside is the steering – it’s heavy and lacking in feel. Apart from that, though, you’re looking at a real junior Evo X.
