Arrinera Hussarya GT: Polish supercar launched

First ever Polish GT-Class Racer unveiled at Autosport show in Birmingham, with 641bhp from a 6.2-litre V8

Never heard of Arrinera? The young Polish race-car builder has just unveiled this; the catchily-named Hussarya GT. Its set to race in the GT4 category through 2016 and 2017, with other races in the pipeline.

It'll be the first time a car from Poland has ever entered the GT racing class. But the news isn't just of interest to motorsport enthusiasts, as Arrinera is "in the process" of developing a road-going version that it wants to compete in the full-blown supercar leagues with.

The race-spec Hussarya GT weighs just 1,250kg and gets a mid-mounted 6.2-litre V8 engine. It can produce between 414bhp and 641bhp, and 580Nm to 810Nm of torque depending on its state of tune. It's rear-wheel drive and comes with a sequential six-speed gearbox.

As you'd expect from a racer, it gets pushrod suspension (designed by Ohlins), and 380mm disc brakes. The body, designed with the help of Warsaw Technical University, is designed to be as aerodynamic as possible, and is made out of a carbon-fibre and aluminium composite material. We'll bvring you further details of the road-going model as soon as we hear anything.
