Bugatti Legends: Veyron Ettore Bugatti revealed

The final installment of the Bugatti Legends series is the Veyron Ettore Bugatti – only three will be produced

Bugatti has launched its sixth and final model in ‘Les Legendes de Bugatti’ series. The final part of the exclusive range honors Ettore Bugatti, founder of the brand, and takes inspiration from the Type 41 Royale.

Set to debut at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance later this month, the Veyron Ettore Bugatti will be displayed alongside the five other Bugatti Legends, which make up the series. Production will be limited to just three models, each with a price tag of €2.35 million (£1.8 million).

Marking the Ettore Bugatti out from the other Legend models, the exterior design has been based around the 1932 Type 41 Royale. The front section is finished in hand-polished aluminium, including the bonnet, wing mirrors and door handles – a first for Bugatti. The rear has been finished with dark blue exposed carbon.

The alloy wheels are also an exclusive feature. First designed by Ettore Bugatti himself, the diamond-cut rims have been colour matched with the exterior finish. The signature of the company’s founder is also engraved into the oil cap and painted in silver.

Inside, various leathers festoon the interior, with the tanning process for the leather on the dash, centre console and gear level taking around six months. The exposed blue carbon finish can also be found on the door trims and cover of the rear centre box.

As with the other Legends, the Ettore Bugatti is based on the Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport Vitesse. It’s powered by a 1,184bhp 8.0-litre W16 engine developing 1,500Nm of torque, capable of 0-62mph in 2.6 seconds and top speed of 254mph.
