New BMW 3 Series Touring

Details and prices have been announced for the new BMW 3 Series Touring, starting from £29,380

The new 3 Series Touring has been revealed, and BMW is promising that the new estate is just as sharp to drive as the car it replaces despite boasting 10 per cent more boot space.

The visual changes mainly concern the bodywork from the B-pillar backwards, and include steeply raked D-pillars, wraparound tail lights and a small rear spoiler.

The changes have allowed BMW to make this the most practical 3 Series yet. The boot stands at 495 litres but the space can be extended to 1500 litres when all of the rear seats are folded flat.

Other practical touches include an opening rear windscreen and an electric power boot lid included as standard. Buyers will be able to kick underneath the rear bumper to open the boot when their hands are full.

The 3 Series Touring range will initially include a 320d, 330d and 328i. Cleanest of the bunch will be the 320d, which boasts CO2 emissions of 123g/km. The 330d is the quickest, claiming a 0-62mph time of 5.6 seconds.

BMW will offer the new 3 Series Touring in SE, Sport, M Sport, Modern and Luxury trim levels. The 320d SE kicks off the range at £29,380 while the range-topping 330d Luxury costs £37,200.

The all-new BMW 3 Series Touring is available to order now.
