Audi A7 Sportback facelift prices announced

The facelifted Audi A7 Sportback is now on sale in the UK, gaining revised engines, updated styling, improved technology and new trim levels.

Deliveries are expected towards the end of this year, with prices starting from £45,875 for the new entry-level 3.0-litre TDI ultra and rising to at least £63,375 for the 444bhp S7. A flagship £84,480 RS7 is also set to go on sale next month before hitting showrooms in early 2015.

Audi A7 Sportback trim levels

For standard A7 models, three trim levels will be available from launch: SE Executive (replacing Standard and SE in the outgoing line-up), S line and Black Edition.

Kicking things off, new SE Executive spec (£45,875 - £50,215) comes with all-weather LED headlights, 19-inch alloys, four-zone automatic aircon and sweeping rear indicators. Standard kit across the range also includes electrically-adjustable, heated leather seats, plus parking sensors, a powered bootlid and MMI navigation.

Moving up to S line (£48,665 - £56,575) adds 20-inch alloys and Matrix LED headlights that are designed to maximise visibility while reducing glare for oncoming vehicles. Alongside these add-ons, and in a departure from tradition for the A7 range, Audi is offering customers the option of ‘deselecting’ S line’s sport suspension and alloys in favour of the more comfortable standard ride and 19-inch rims – a feature likewise available for range-topping Black Edition A7s (£52,775 - £58,925).

Optional extras across the regular range include a heads-up display and a new top-spec MMI Navigation plus infotainment system that can be paired to Audi connect, which links the car to the internet via LTE high-speed data transmission. On top of this, there’s Audi phone box to improve mobile reception via the antenna and a Bang & Olufsen sound system is available as well.

Audi A7 Sportback engine details

Under the metal, there’s a choice of two petrol and three diesel engines for the new A7 Sportback, with revised power outputs ranging from 215bhp to 328bhp. Leading the way on the efficiency front is the new 3.0-litre TDI ultra, which can return 60.1mpg and emit as little as 122g/km of CO2. This is partly down to a new seven-speed S tronic twin-clutch gearbox that’s been specially developed for front-wheel drive use.

For the S7 Sportback, the range-topping 4.0 TFSI petrol engine has been carried over, with power rising to 444bhp, while the RS7’s 4.0-litre TFI can hit 0-62mph in under four seconds thanks to its 552bhp.
