All-Season tyre: Continental AllSeasonContact

Michelin compares its pioneering CrossClimate all-season tyre to a triathlete who is not the best in any discipline but performs well in all of them

Michelin compares its pioneering CrossClimate all-season tyre to a triathlete who is not the best in any discipline but performs well in all of them. That obviously compromises performance, but some drivers are prepared to accept that for the convenience and reduced initial cost of an all-season tyre. The AllSeasonContact is an exceptional tyre, but in our snow tests it lags behind all its winter rivals apart from the struggling Toyo, finishing seven per cent behind the best. In the wet it’s behind just two winter tyres, and in the dry it’s beaten by another two. A great all-season performer and one many people believe is ideally suited to the UK climate.
