Nokian Weatherproof

Our top four are closely matched, but snowy and wet roads are where the Nokian performs best.

Our top four are closely matched, but snowy and wet roads are where the Nokian performs best. We’re used to the brand storming the snow tests, but last year the Weatherproof gave up a fair bit of that performance for dry and wet-road grip. It didn’t quite work then yet with – no doubt – a year’s development, this is a much better-balanced product in 16-inch form.

It didn’t dominate on the white stuff, but it was right there with the leaders and felt secure. In the wet it was second best to our winner, and retained its good balance from the snow tests. While it had most difficulties in the dry, it stayed in touch with the leader. A poor cabin noise result didn’t help, but decent rolling resistance was compensation.

We say: A more balanced showing than we’ve seen recently, strong in the wet and on snow

Blackcircles.com says: There’s not a wide stock of Nokian tyres in the UK. Unfortunately, that means we are unable to provide any insight into the tyre’s popularity or performance with our customers.
