The old maxim of “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” is apt for Halfords’ premium screwdrivers. Their design hasn’t changed for years, but that’s good – no other handle as effectively combines comfort with ease of use for oily or wet hands and outright grip potential.
In fact, just a few annoying niggles prevent this kit from being the Best Buy. Although the tips are magnetic, they’re so weak that they couldn’t pick anything up in our test. It’s also a serious drawback for car work that all the plain slot drivers are flared rather than parallel.
