Child-seat maker Concord has just launched its 2012 range, which is available from £159.99

Concord's 2012 range starts with the Air – a Group 0+ seat for newborn babies – and goes right up to the Transformer X-Bag, a Group 2/3 seat for children aged from 3-12 years.

The Air model costs £181.50 and comes in four colours: Dark Night, Graphite, Sahara and Candy. It can be used as a carry cot, but also has a double-wall shell and side-impact protection for added security. It’s suitable for use until your child weighs 13kg – around 18 months old.

If you want your child to hang on to the same seat for longer, you’ll like the Ultimax Isofix. It’s a £279.99 Group 0+/1 seat that accommodates children from birth up to four years old, as it can face forwards or rearwards.

Once your child has outgrown these, look at the Transformer range. The Transformer Pro is a Group 1/2/3 seat that costs £219.99 and can be used from nine months up to 12 years, as it has lap-belt protection.

The £159.99 Transformer X-Bag is the cheapest in the range, but it’s only suitable for older kids.
