Peek Metal Polish will restore the shine to your car’s alloys and other metal surfaces, according to maker Tri-Peek International.

The multi-purpose formula is claimed to be suitable for use on nearly 40 surfaces, ranging from silver, brass and copper to aluminium and stainless steel.

Just squeeze a small amount on to a wet cloth and rub it on to the metal. Buff it off with a soft, dry cloth before it dries, and it’ll protect against moisture. Fine abrasives in the formula can remove oxidation – so faded paint panels will appear new.

Once applied, Peek Metal Polish is ideal for preventing rust from returning, as it leaves an anti-oxidant protective barrier.

Not only will it add a shine, but the formula can also be used as a cleaner. The paste is said to shift limescale, tree sap, tar and bugs.

A 100ml toothpaste-style tube costs £4.16, while a 250ml can will set you back £6.26. It even works on fibreglass, which will appeal to owners of caravans and boats, too.
