Volkswagen Caddy Black Edition

Volkswagen has launched a new special edition Caddy based off the popular Highline specification. Available until the end of the year, the Black Edition will be the highest specification Caddy yet with cosmetic changes including special edition ‘Budapest’ 17-inch alloy wheels, roof rails in polished silver, a chrome-plated grille and deep Black pearlescent paint. Prices start under £18,000.

There are also standard Highline spec features like Climatic air conditioning, Bluetooth, a trip computer and a multi-function display. The additional features in the Black Edition have a total value of £2,150, representing a customer saving of £1,350 compared to a standard Highline model.

Mechanically, VW has also added Dynamic Suspension, reducing the ride height by 27mm to help give the Black Edition a sportier appearance and sharper handling.

The Caddy Black Edition is only available as a short-wheelbase panel van with a 1.6TDI 102PS returning 55.4mpg (Combined EU Cycle) and 134g/km of C02. The Caddy also has BlueMotion technology as standard, incorporating hill-hold assist, a stop/start system, regenerative braking and cruise control.  Load space has also not been affected with the Caddy still offering a competitive 3.2m3 load volume and a full-height solid bulkhead.

The Caddy Black Edition goes on sale from 1st October with an OTR price of £17,860 (ex. VAT).
