  • Skoda Superb - front tracking

The new Skoda Superb picks up where the last model left off, capitalising on limo-levels of space and comfort, but in a more stylish package.

  • Skoda Superb - rear tracking

On the outside, the noticeable difference over the previous model is the sharper styling, in particular at the rear.

  • Skoda Superb - interior

Inside, everything is beautifully screwed together and there are plenty of clever touches to make things that little bit easier.

  • Skoda Superb - rear seats

The new Superb is 28mm longer than the car it replaces, but has the same amount of rear seat space (it didn't need to be bigger), but there's more elbow and headroom, too.

  • Skoda Superb - boot

The boot has grown by 30 litres, now offering a total of 625 litres. The overly complicated 'twindoor' system of the old model has gone, replaced by a conventional one-piece hatchback.

  • Skoda Superb - boot

With the rear seats folded, space increases to a huge 1,760 litres.

  • Skoda Superb - front action

On the road, the Superb is good to drive, with optional adaptive dampers available that allows the driver to choose between Comfort, Normal and Sport driving modes.

  • Skoda Superb - rear static

The new Superb looks contemporary, with chiselled looks and a well-proportioned body.

  • Skoda Superb - cabin

The interior works well. It's not exciting, but the simple and straight lines and solid quality means it feels far from cheap.

  • Skoda Superb - interior detail

Different driving modes are available when the adaptive dampers are specified.

  • Skoda Superb - umbrella

As before, the new Superb comes with an umbrella in the door. This time, there's one on both the driver and passenger side, though.

A vast range of familiar petrol and diesel engines are available in the new Superb, with manual and DSG gearboxes available, too. On higher-spec models, four-wheel drive can be specified, too.
