Long-term test review: Skoda Superb Estate - pictures

Big discounts can now be picked up on the Superb Estate, making it excellent value. But you'll have to be happy driving a car that will soon look out of date - and it was never the most stylish anyway. 

You wouldn't want to venture too far off the beaten track, but 4WD Superb can handle muddy paths and trails with ease.

We studied the new Superb at the Geneva Motor Show and it promises some advanced tech and a plush interior, making our Superb feel a little old-hat now. 

This is undoubtedly the Superb's trump card. There's plenty of headroom and legroom in the rear, and the new model promises to be even more generous in this respect.

Cup-holders beside the driver have proven a useful place to keep essentials like bank cards and mobile phones. 

The ticket clip on the inside of the front windscreen works well if you need to leave note at short notice, and don't have anything to stick it with.

The outgoing Superb Estate remains a comfortable car to drive.&nbsp;

It's easy to find a comfortable driving position in the Superb thanks to plenty of adjustment for the front passengers.&nbsp;

"Our car has dated infotainment system, but it's now been replaced in the range by the Outdoor Plus, which gets DAB and sat-nav as standard."&nbsp;

While the 6-disc multichanger has proven welcome, there's no connector for an iPhone 6.&nbsp;

We avoided a collection for fee for a coffee table sold to a local furniture shop. The Superb's boot swallowed it with ease.&nbsp;

Wheel has been kerbed and the black alloy only highlights the damage.&nbsp;

Driver environment is comfortable and spacious, but it feels dated against some of the latest rivals.&nbsp;

At 1,865 litres with the seats down, boot space is simply massive.&nbsp;

Both Graham and wife Seema have struggled to link up their iPhone and Samsung mobile phones despite numerous attempts.&nbsp;

There are no casings for Isofix points, which means you have to use fiddly mounts to install a car seat.&nbsp;
