Jaguar confirms end of new UK cars sales until 2026

Sales ends on entire Jaguar line-up ahead of 2026 relaunch as luxury electric brand

Jaguar has confirmed the end of sales of its entire new model line-up as it prepares to relaunch as a pure electric luxury car brand in 2026.

More details on the company’s future plans will be revealed next month, but Jaguar has confirmed that sales of new cars across its current line-up have now ended, with the exception of a few cars still within the dealer network. The dealers will, for the next 18 months or so, be selling only used cars until Jaguar’s new era of £100,000+ EVs begins.

“From November 2024, new Jaguar sales will come to an end ahead of our new brand reveal later this year and product launch in 2026,” said a company statement. “We have now ceased allocation of our current generation of Jaguar vehicles, we do have a selection of models available to acquire on an Approved Pre-Owned basis through our UK retail network.”

The Jaguar F-Pace, E-Pace and i-Pace are still in production for a number of countries including Germany and the US, with Austrian plant that builds E-Pace and I-Pace ceasing in December, and the F-Pace’s Solihull factory coming to a halt at a date still to be confirmed in 2025.

All Jaguar models came off the brand’s website configurator in late summer and were available early from pre-built stock, but those levels have now depleted to the point where officially no more new UK cars are available.

JLR’s Solihull facility – where the forthcoming Range Rover Electric will be built – is also going to be responsible for producing the three new models Jaguar has on the way. First to arrive is a four-door GT that’s set to be the most powerful Jaguar production car ever made, and trump the I-Pace – it’s first and only electric car to date – in terms of both range and charging capabilities.

Speaking to Auto Express earlier this year, CEO of JLR Adrian Mardell revealed: “we will have prototypes of the new Jaguar GT on the road this year and it is our intention that you will see something this year.” The GT and the other two new Jaguars will all sit on a bespoke EV platform called ‘Jaguar Electrified Architecture’ (JEA).
