McLaren 12C Spider pictures

Mclaren intended to produce the MP4-12C in a coupe and spider therefore the structral MonoCell chassis has required no further strengthing.  

The spider will rival Ferrari's stunning 458 spider. 

The glass rear screen can be lowered to take in the glorious engine note. 

Asthetically the spider looks everybit as good as the coupe. 

The spider's engine will produce 616bhp, which is identical to the coupe. 

The engine gives so much power across the rev range that the engine never really has to be pushed hard. 

The car will accelerate to 62mph in a blistering 3.1 seconds. 

The Mclaren's roof folds neatly into the rear clamshell.

Mclaren have made various changes to the gearbox software to improve gear change response. 

The car is practical too, with it featuring a front located boot and 52-litres of extra luggage space.
