Long-term test: Range Rover Sport

Our Range Rover Sport has finished its time on the Auto Express fleet, and proved itself a car of many talents.

The SUV belies its size with a fun driving experience - the sports-car-like handling seems to defy physics.

Our man's drive home takes him through a local ford, which the Range Rover Sport tackles with aplomb.

The vast boot offered plenty of space, whether we carried football kit or the family dog.

JLR's InControl apps seemed a bit limited - we'd prefer Apple CarPlay or Android Audo.

Foam layer is responsible for eerie lack of road noise - but made for an expensive replacement.

Our man's Range Rover Sport has undergone the ultimate test recently: dealing with a house move. Is it up to the task?

Panoramic roof gives the cabin an airy feel and provides an amazing view out for passengers.

The size of the Range Rover Sport bodes well for moving house, but the seats don't fold completely flat.

Practicality wise, the back seats are a nuisance. You have to reach over from the rear doors to stow them away and they don't fold completely flat in the first place. Angled load bay makes it frustrating when loading large, heavy items

Rear seats offer plenty of legroom for Steve's kids.

Cupholders in the rear armrest are handy if you don't have a fifth rear passenger.

Headphones come as part of the rear-seat entertainment system.

Meridian sound system is the perfect companion when travelling home.

Leather seats are very comfortable in the Sport.

The second installment of the Range Rover Sport long term test.

Our Range Rover’s white-and-black colour scheme might be a bit full-on for some tastes, but there are plenty of other colour combinations to suit more conservative buyers.

Our car comes equipped with the Stealth Pack, with its black trim ensuring the wing mirror housings stand out from white body.

In town, the Sport excels with a superb ride, despite huge 22-inch wheels. Hit the open road and it handles superbly for its size.

Seats are very comfortable, but heat settings have proven too much for our editor-in-chief.

The Sport is a true Range Rover, easily shrugging off challenging off-road obstacles.
