Land Rover Defender V8 Bond Edition marks new 007 film ‘No Time To Die’ launch

The latest James Bond film has inspired a special edition Land Rover Defender V8

Ahead of the release of the new James Bond film ‘No Time To Die’, Land Rover has created the Defender V8 Bond Edition. The special edition Defender is being launched to celebrate the 25th installment of the 007 franchise, and is available in either the short-wheel base 90 or the larger 110 format.

The UK will get just 15 out of the 300 examples that will be built for the global market, five in the 90 bodystyle and 10 in 110 and prices start over £105,000.

There are a number of key details that mark the Bond Edition out from the regular V8 Defender. Land Rover includes as standard the ‘Extended Black Pack’ with 22-inch Gloss Black wheels and Xenon Blue front brake calipers. There’s also a unique ‘Defender 007’ rear badge, ‘007’ puddle lamps and illuminated ‘007’ treadplates.

To differentiate the V8 Bond Edition further, there are SV Bespoke logos on the grab handle and a ‘One of 300’ etching to indicate the specific car’s place in the 300-strong production run. The 11.4-inch touchscreen that’s optional on the standard car is also included.

Utilising the same supercharged 5.0-litre V8 found in the Defender V8, there’s 518bhp and 625Nm of torque on offer - resulting in an unchanged 0-62mph time of 5.2 seconds and a 149mph top speed in the short-wheel base 90 model.

Prices start from £105,395 for the 90 Bond Edition and £108,040 for the 110 (both equate to £6,890 more than the standard V8 Defender versions on which they’re based).

Aston Martin has also celebrated its partnership with ‘No Time To Die’ by releasing special editions of its Vantage and DBS Superleggera...
