This is the stylish Kia Sportage, a crossover to rival the Mazda CX-5 and Nissan Qashqai.

The Kia Sportage is available in 1.6-litre petrol, 2.0-litre petrol and 1.7 and 2.0-litre diesel engines. It's available with front or four-wheel drive. 

The Sportage's interior received a facelift in 2014, with the interior getting some new materials to brighten it up a bit. 

The Sportage is composed and drives well considering its high-riding stance, but the steering and body control lack a certain precision and agility. 

The space in the rear of the Kia Sportage is a bit limited for taller passengers, but most should find there's enough room. 

The Kia Sportage offers a large boot, at 564-litres, and can be increased to 1,353-litres with the rear seats folded down.

The panoramic sunroof in the top end Kia Sportage cuts into headroom in the rear seats.

The 2.0-litre engines are fitted with intelligent four-wheel drive system.

The most economical and efficient of all the Kia Sportage models is the 1.7-litre CRDi EcoDynamics, returning 54mpg and 135g/km. 

The Kia Sportage is on top when it comes to looks but the overall driving experience is dated and can't match newer rivals.
