The interior features body-hugging Recaro seats, carbon fibre trimming and contrasting seat piping. 

The car is on offer with a choice of petrol and diesel engines. 

One of the Focus's main rivals is the Volkswagen Golf GTI, and styling wise the two cars are very different.

The styling is not understated with loud colour options and large 19-inch alloy wheels.

The new down-sized 2.0-litre engine produces 22bhp more than the previous larger 2.5-litre unit, which will keep performance enthusiast's more than happy. 

As with the previous model their will be ST2 and ST3 specifications. 

The car will now accelerate to 62mph in a quick 6.5 seconds and return 41.5mpg, which is a six per cent improvement over the previous pre-facelift model. 

Ford's offical tuner Mountune will bolt on a addtional tuning kit, which will increase engine power to 272bhp. 

Ford have cleaned up the interior, reducing the amount of buttons situated on the dashboard. 

The ST3 specification of the Focus will feature full leather seats as opposed to the half leather seats in the ST2 variant.
