Limited-edition BAC Mono One launched

Briggs Automotive Company (BAC) has launched a trio of bespoke Monos to mark the end of the single-seat track car’s production run. Each limited-edition model is priced at £158,950 and features a unique livery, a tweaked chassis and a handful of cosmetic upgrades.

Each limited-edition Mono is finished in one BAC’s corporate colours – either white, black or red. All three vehicles also feature unique carbon-hybrid wheels, a range of special-edition badging and exposed carbon-fibre panelling from the waistline down.

The BAC Mono One Iconic White edition is the least lairy of the three, being finished simply in the British firm’s trademark white paint. The Carbon Black variant sports black paint with contrasting red stitching and rear wheels, while the Neon Red model bears a unique red paint scheme with white body decals.

A unique racing helmet is included in the price, bearing a livery which pays homage to the music video for Icelandic singer Björk’s 1999 single, All is Full of Love – and the same design features on each car’s rear wing and headrest. Buyers can also select from BAC’s usual range of personalisation options, which include a made-to-measure steering wheel and racing seat.

Each BAC Mono One is powered by the same naturally aspirated 2.5-litre four-cylinder engine as the standard Mono, developing 305bhp and 308Nm of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a six-speed sequential gearbox, giving each special-edition model a 0–60mph time of 2.7 seconds and a top speed of 170mph.

BAC will present its new second-generation Mono at this year’s Geneva Motor Show. As such, these limited-edition Mono Ones will be the final vehicles the British company will make before the new car enters production in summer 2021.
