The mid-engined Audi R8 is the pinnacle of the Audi range, with breathtaking pace and looks.

<span>The stiff suspension on the R8 delivers minimal body roll in the corners, while the immediate steering provdes good feedback. The 911 still feels lighter and the more nimble car though.</span>
<span>All R8 models come with satellite navigation, 19-inch alloy wheels, Audi Music interface with integrated Bluetooth, heated seats and LED lights front and rear.</span>

<span>An advanced traction and stability control system is standard on the R8, while a rear spoiler deploys at over 60mph for extra stability.</span>

<span>The hand-finished cabin of the R8 is a comfortable place to be, with a good driving position. It's starting to look dated though.</span>
Despite the high power outputs from the Audi R8 V8 and V10, both are as straightforward to drive as the Audi TT.

<span>All R8's come with Audi's quattro four-wheel-drive system as standard, with a choice of manual or S tronic automatic gearboxes.</span>
The R8 is available with either a V8 engine or a V10. The V8 is the same engine that's found in the Audi RS4, while the V10 is the same engine found in the Lamborghini Gallardo.
