Ring PowerSource Pure inverters

New inverters give continuous power for in-car gadgets

Ring Automotive has launched a range of heavy-duty inverters to provide mains power for the gadgets in your car.

PowerSource Pure inverters let you run virtually any electrical item anywhere by replicating the normal 230-volt household supply. Most inverters modify the electrical flow, so if you run a TV off them, for example, the picture flickers. But these ones convert it to exactly the same output as a three-pin socket. And by giving continuous power at the rated maximum wattage, they prevent frustrating interruptions.

They also have overload, overvoltage and thermal protection, and shut down automatically if your car’s battery voltage drops too low, leaving enough power to start the engine

Choose from the £369 1,200-watt, single-socket RINV1200 and the £549 2,200-watt, twin-socket RINV2200. Both can be wired to your car’s battery and left in the boot for convenience.
