Britax Trifix car seat

Britax calls its new Trifix the next generation of children's car seat

Britax Trifix car seat

Britax has launched what it calls the next generation of car seats for children. The new Trifix is suitable for kids aged from nine months to four years old. Britax says it’s the safest forward-facing Group 1 seat it makes.

It’s fitted with ISOFIX+, which is said to be the ultimate impact protection. Like any other ISOFIX seat, secure clips in the base of the Trifix anchor directly to the car’s connection points. But there’s also a new tether that clicks into the third anchorage point in the rear of the car.

Deep, soft, padded sides called SI-PADs expand to protect your child’s sides and hips, while the height-adjustable five-point harness keeps them secure. The seat can be reclined, there’s an indicator light to let you know all the clips are engaged, plus the cover is machine-washable.

PivotLink technology counters the forces of an accident: the top tether stops your child’s head jerking forward, while the seat itself moves down to stop their body being thrown forward.
